The Artist
Gene Ehrbar is a Portland-based singer, guitarist, producer, and bandleader whose music draws from the deep well of American funk, rock, and soul — with a restless ear for whatever comes next.
He fronts The Walkaways (Portland's Phish-covers-cover band), leads Dr. Spaceman (Portland's David Bowie tribute), and is building something new with the Mighty Sparks, a Portland funk outfit just finding its footing.
When he's not on stage, Gene is behind the decks as DJ Gene Machine, spinning classic hip-hop, funk, and soul.
